University of Bologna

Founded in 1088, the University of Bologna is the world's oldest continually operating university. Known as the "Alma Mater Studiorum," it hosts roughly 85,000 students across five campuses and 11 schools. It ranks 123rd globally in the QS World University Rankings and 130th in the Times Higher Education listing. It also ranks first in Italy for 16 major subjects.
